OSLONAMS FAVORITES
My personal favorite restaurants in Oslo.
Bon lio
Koie ramen
XEF
The price is a bit high, but in return you get a lot of high-quality food and wine. Typically, the menu consists of 8-10 courses with the best and most attractive ingredients, which often include langoustines, tuna otoro, octopus, Iberico bellota ham, and scallops.
If I crave ramen, this is the place I go to! They make the noodles in-house, the broth is flavorful, and the meat is incredibly tender.
Spanish fine dining at a great price!!!!
Food is engaging and visually beautifully presented, with exciting combinations and for us Norwegians, quite unique small touches of ingredients.
Brasserie France
Vesuvio cafe
Dim Sum Oslo
Highly reccomend! A small piece of France in Oslo. The venue is traditional and beautiful, with a fantastic atmosphere typical of a brasserie where there is a lively buzz. The food is delicious, especially the boullbaisse, onion soup, and mussels. They are open for both lunch and dinner.
This pizza is perfect, with a crispy crust, fluffy edges, and a chewy dough.
This place is for those who love dim sum, especially the traditional type. They have classic dim sums on the menu, as well as chicken feet. The place is family-run, and you can feel the warm atmosphere.
Thai Orchid
Hanami
Alex Sushi
Don't expect good service or nice interior. But the food is amazing!
Really good modern Japanese cuisine!
A little bit pricey, but definitely worth it!
Beautiful views, and sunset in the evening.
A little bit updated interior, but this place is a sushi legend!
Jimmy's
Winther
Ostebutikken
Casual place, but with a great atmosphere. Delicious steaks and small plates. You must try the beef tartare with bone marrow and Entrecote on the bone.
Amazing sourdoug pizza. Especially the
5 cheese. They produce their own cheeses with Norwegian milk.
A small place with room for maybe up to 20 people? One of the coziest restaurants in Oslo with food that warms the heart. If you come here, you must try the moules frites!
Arakataka
Kolonialen
Bar Amour
This place is legendary! It has been in Oslo for many years and is always fully booked. The food is exciting and delicious. The atmosphere is lively, with dim lighting and a great vibe. If you come here, you must try the spaghetti with Løyrom (roe).
A typical neighborhood restaurant with a French brasserie atmosphere. Good food and a heartwarming city vibe, always tasty dishes on the menu.
Oslo's only Portuguese fine dining restaurant. They received a Michelin star in 2024. Exciting, creative, and delicious dishes. Stop by if your wallet allows.
Xin Chao
Munchies
À L’aise
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Oslo! Beef pho and bun bo hue with generous amounts of meat, and rich and flavorful broth. Crispy Banh xeo. What more can you ask?
If you are looking for a cheap and good burger, this is the place!
Ps. They usually open early for lunch if you have a hangover.
They received a Michelin star in 2023. If you are looking for typical fine dining with artistic French small plates, classical music, and white tablecloths, this is the place to be!
Mamma Pizza
HotShop
Vinoteket
This place has delicious Italian food! It's so good that it moves you to tears. Everything is homemade, from the pesto, sauces to the pasta, etc. The owners are from Italy. Highly reccomend! Ps. I have only been at the origial restaurant in Dronningens Gate 22, Oslo.
They received a michelin star in 2022. I would say this is quite cheap for being a michelin restaurant with a price of 1295,-. Casual atmosphere, delicious food, cozy and intimate setting, neighborhood restaurant vibe. Highly recommend.
No one makes pizza like these! Made with sourdough and filled with ingredients you never would have thought of. Everything from roe, lobster, scallops and Korean BBQ. Great selection of wine by the glass at a good price too!
Mon Oncle
Savage Oslo
Tjeld
Exclusive, minimalist, and elegant restaurant, but not too stiff. Serving fantastic French cuisine. They received a Michelin star in 2023. This is not your typical fine dining experience with small dishes, the portions are a bit larger, and you will be satisfied with 2-3 courses.
This was a very exciting experience; I visited them before they received a Michelin star in 2023. Before the dinner starts, you will be sitting in a small room with mysterious music.
The menu consist of high quality and exclusive ingredients like caviar, iberico bellota, king crab and wagyu beef.
I love this spot for aperitif before dinner! They focus on oysters and cocktails.
Brasserie Oest
Dinner National
Solsiden
These mussels with creamy pearls
is amazingly good!
Only open the summer months. Really good seafood!
Good wok, peking duck, wagyu beef
and dim sum.
